We had fresh snow last night. Our first real snow this winter. This is a pic of a new item on the farm. An old grain wagon. It will be a great centerpiece for a lovely flowerbed. Can't wait til spring!

The 'hearth' of the home is in the kitchen! Spending time in the kitchen preparing meals with the family is a wonderful way to build relationships as well as make delicious healthy foods! Hubby is the main chef in our kitchen. I like to make healthy food variations to add to his wonderful meals! I'm always making cultured foods such as: Kombucha, Kefir, Cultured Veges along with many recipes made with these cultured basics. I also love making Sour Dough Bread along with various recipes using this delicious bread. I think by far my favorite things to prepare are Herbal Teas and Herbal Medicinals! As we begin a new season, we are putting together new "The Herbal Life" classes/workshops that will cover many topics concerning health and wellness. Our classes/workshops are scheduled as all day 'come and go' events two times a month. Follow us on FACEBOOK for dates and times. Fall is a beautiful season here on the home-place. We love sharing the variety of colors and fragrances in the gardens! We love spending time in the gardens watching the birds, bees and butterflies. The hummingbirds will be leaving us very soon. The finches and other birds are feasting on the bountiful seeds from sunflowers, coneflowers and zinnias. We have various 'settee' spots for everyone to enjoy. The vintage camper spot is a favorite area to visit with friends and family. The vintage camper is also a learning center for children. Hubby's Chickens are right in the middle of the gardens.
