In the Garden: Spring


Early Spring here at Heritage Home~Place
is a beautiful experience after a long cold winter!

The focus for spring around here is to get the gardens ready
for planting.  I do, however, let the early weeds grow up
in the gardens so that I can harvest them.

Winter Health

  Winter Garden The gardens are beautiful in every season. I appreciate living in the mid-west where we have all four seasons to enjoy. Winters can be harsh here in Missouri, but they are also beautiful. I like to go with the flow of the seasons with my health and wellness path. Winter is a great time of nourishing rest for our bodies. Winter is the season for eating slow foods and drinking nourishing hot drinks. I am a certified herbalist. But, I do not re-invent the wheel when it comes to herbal education. I love to share other herbalist information. Sowers of Good Seed

  Heritage Home~Place Wow! It has been a very long time since I posted. Last year the world was going through things. We also did not have any classes throughout 2020. We are grateful for a new year of blessings.  The gardens are in full swing here on our little farmette.  We have had a lot of rain in June....A LOT!  Amazingly though, the gardens are still producing their beauty and bounty. Throughout the course of COVID-19 shutdowns and  quarantines, there has been a lot of time for reflection. Many families were affected by the virus as well as the changes in dynamics of how we live.   It is now a time of renewal. Many things have changed, but, that is not necessarily all bad. Renewal of all areas of who we are...spirit, soul and body will give us a fresh start with renewed ways of living. Let us be mindful; be present; be kind; be humble; be compassionate; be determined; be strong....just be sowers of good seed on good ground. Enjoy the moments. Enj...
