The Herbal Life

Hello from my garden!
I love digging in the dirt!
I love all things growing in the garden!
Even the weeds....well, some of them.

 I have spent many seasons working with cultivated
herbs and wild weeds in my gardens. 
As I follow each season of life of a plant, I spend time
getting to know that plant. I love growing as many
herbs in my gardens as I can!
  
I have been academically studying Herbalism for 
several years.  I have many notebooks full of pressed plants
 and recorded information about each plant.  
Before I began my studies academically, I was inspired by my 
mother-in-law as she talked about different
plants growing in the yard and their culinary/medicinal
uses for everyday health and wellness.

 I have several certifications in herbalism.
My studies are ongoing!
I'm pretty sure it will be a lifetime educational goal!

This page is more of an 'inspirational' presentation
of the everyday encounters that we have with 
herbs, spices and whole foods.

Winter Health

  Winter Garden The gardens are beautiful in every season. I appreciate living in the mid-west where we have all four seasons to enjoy. Winters can be harsh here in Missouri, but they are also beautiful. I like to go with the flow of the seasons with my health and wellness path. Winter is a great time of nourishing rest for our bodies. Winter is the season for eating slow foods and drinking nourishing hot drinks. I am a certified herbalist. But, I do not re-invent the wheel when it comes to herbal education. I love to share other herbalist information.
